The Manoir lies on the dividing line between the Bordeaux wines of the Gironde and the lesser known appellations of the Lot-et-Garonne to the East. We’re proud to boast about the quality of the wine from these parts – indeed up until 1911 the wines of Duras and Marmande were themselves classified as Bordeaux. The powers that be may have shifted the boundary back then (to the bottom of our garden believe it or not!) but the style and quality never changed. We sell and offer tastings on a selection of our favourite Bordeaux, Côtes-de-duras and Côtes du Marmandais, so if you’re heading back home, onward bound or staying put with us for a while, you can pick up a few good bottles to enjoy.
